The 89th Season 2002-2003

Our fourth season under our Music Director, David Gibson, found us performing some outstanding masterpieces of choral music.

Saturday 9th November 2002
The televised Festival of Remembrance from the Royal Albert Hall.

Saturday 16th November 2002
Mendelssohn's Hymn of Praise and Walton's Belshazzar's Feast, a cantata for baritone and double chorus written in 1931, together with the Wimbledon Choral Society and the New Queen's Hall Orchestra.

Saturday 14th December 2002
Our Annual Family Carol Concert of both traditional and modern festive music, with the Scotts Park Singers, accompanied by the Salvation Army Band.

Saturday 1st March 2003
An evening of Mozart's Regina Coeli, Clarinet Concerto, and Requiem Mass with the London Mozart Players, under the direction of the choir's Music Director, David Gibson.

Wednesday 14th May 2003
An invitation to join voices with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by the choir's President, Owain Arwel Hughes, in the 'Last Night of the Proms.'

Saturday 17th May 2003
The New Queen's Hall Orchestra asked to choir to join them in a tour of special 'coronation' concerts, to conclude our season, beginning in the Fairfield Halls.

Sunday 29th June 2003
An invitation to perform at the Royal Russell School Anniversary Summer Concert.
